"BAB'S BURGLAR"
Directed by J. Searle Dawley SYNOPSIS Winsome Marguerite Clark in one of the most talked of stories of the year -- "Bab's Burglar", which originally appeared in the Saturday Evening Post, and which was written by no other than the inimitable Mary Roberts Rinehart, is Marguerite Clark at her best. The story was read by thousands all over the country who will recognize in Miss Clark the perfect embodiment of "Bab", most delightful of Sub-Debs, as she calls herself. Younger sister of an attractive girl of twenty-four, and even more romantic than the average run of boarding school girls, Bab's efforts to marry off her older sister are screamingly funny and her attempts to dignify the species of puppy love through which she is passing, a farce. Director J. Searle Dawley, who has directed many of Miss Clark's biggest productions, has also been responsible for "Bab's Burglar" and has imparted all the exquisite technique and charm of which he is capable while the excellent cast that supports Miss Clark has added a large share to the success of the picture. BIG SPECIAL with Marguerite Clark, Leone Morgan, and Richard Barthelmess. Directed by J. Searle Dawley. Famous Players/Paramount. More Information on this film...
