George Zucco, veteran actor and once leading man of Laura Winston, mother of Director W. S. Van Dyke, will play the Lord Chief Justice of England in "Parnell." Clark Gable and Myrna Loy head the all-star M-G-M cast.

FILM HOLDS STAGE RECORD

"Night Must Fall," starring Robert Montgomery and Rosalind Russell, comes to the screen after establishing a record in the theatre. As a play it enjoyed a long run on Broadway in addition to its 55 weeks (sic) run in London.

Four years ago, when Norma Shearer and Leslie Howard were first presented as a screen love team in "Smilin' Thru," movie fans and critics acclaimed them the screen's King and Queen of Romance -- not hectic, catch-as-catch-can romance, but beautiful, tender and stirring romance such as you dream about but rarely find in this work-a-day world.

And, when "Smilin' Thru" returned to Loew Theatres for a special request engagement almost two years ago, the fans again voiced the same opinion.

Are they still the Rulers of Romance? Movie fans all over the country who have seen them together again in "Romeo and Juliet" shout "YES!"

"Smilin' Thru" won Norma and Leslie their crown. "Romeo and Juliet" establishes them for all time on the throne of moviedom's King and Queen of Romance!

WHO CAN FORGET the garden scene between Norma dn Leslie in "Smilin' Thru," when Norma as Moonyeen sighs impatiently for their wedding day?... They play the balcony scene in "Romeo and Juliet" with the same throbbing tenderness that endeared them to fans in the earlier hit.

"MAMA STEPS OUT": DUE ON SAME PROGRAM WITH "ROMEO AND JULIET"

Loew's presents a second M-G-M feature on the same program with "Romeo and Juliet" when the Norma Shearer - Leslie Howard hit plays here next week.

"Mama Steps Out" is the other attraction due Thursday.

The adventures and misadventures of rich Americans in Paris provide the hilarity in "Mama Steps Out," starring Guy Kibbee and Alice Brady as a typical Mr. and Mrs. Babbit.

The story deals with a rich manufacturer who takes his family to Europe. His wife gets the idea of "culture" - and his daughter falls in love with a crooner. Between the two of them he's driven to the distracted solution to his problem -- a solution packed with laughs. Betty Furness plays the daughter, and Stanley Morner enacts the crooner.
