163-A Marie Doro reads Oliver Twist
It has frequently been said that Dickens' characters are so real that they might walk out of the pages of his books. Without wishing to disparage the great novelist in any way, we must confess that this "Oliver" is really Marie Doro, who is studying the story at the Lasky studio in order to absorb the proper atmosphere for that company's adaptation of the great novel in which she will star on the Paramount Program. With Marie Doro, Edythe Chapman and Tully Marshall. Directed by James Young. Lasky/Paramount.
