1056-116 James Hall and Betty Bronson Betty Bronson in THE AUDIENCE LAUGHED AND OCCASIONALLY APPLAUDED. iT IS AMUSING STORY A LIGHT AND BREEZY COMEDY ROMANCE WITHOUT A GREAT DEAL OF SENSE, HOWEVER. Cast .... Betty Bronson's charm and ability seem worth of better vehicles than have been her lot recently. James Hall her titles suitor and William Austin a masquerading duke. Others Joan Standing, George Nichols, Roscoe Karns. Story and Production .... Comedy romance. When an audience is heard to chuckle at frequent intervals and to occasionally applaud a bit that strikes it as particularly funny, it is safe to say that the picture is entertaining irregardless of what an indivicual might think about it. And the Paramount audience gave every indication of enjoying "Ritzy" in spite of its very silly little American heroine who set her heart on a duke for a husband. It does seem somewhat a shame to make the talented and pretty Betty Bronson a title chaser. She pursues the wrong man, as per a frame up, and eventually, the man she has avoided, is on hand to propose and flash the surprise that he is a duke. Direction ...
